Hi. Remember me? Yep, I’m still alive.
I have not written a blog in a long time. And by a long time, I mean I haven’t written since November. Let me assure you, It was not because I didn’t have anything to write about. It was quite the opposite actually. A lot has happened in the last six months. Let me quickly break it down for you.
Since November:
I celebrated my birthday.
We went to Quinn’s Hot Springs
We celebrated Christmas… of course.
We rang in a new year.
The Hunger Games finally came out… and I loved it. I saw it in the theater three times.
I read a ton of books.
I watched way too much Netflix.
Winter came and went with hardly any snow this year. Here’s a picture of one of the few times we actually got snow. I think it lasted three days before it all melted.
My best friend Johna moved back from Montana.
Chris went to school to get a CDL, and he has a new job now. Thankfully, he found something local so he’s not gone all the time.
I’m sure some other noteworthy things happened, but they were all overshadowed by this news:
We found out that we were expecting in September. We were so excited, but I didn’t want to tell anyone until the pregnancy passed the three month mark. As a blogger, I found it very difficult to come up with things to write about because the only thing I wanted to write about was the baby. It caused some major writer’s block. I did a couple of posts, but my heart just wasn’t in it. I decided to just stay away from the blogging world until we had our first ultrasound and we knew that it was a healthy pregnancy. After the ultrasound, I just felt too tired. I had a pretty easy pregnancy, but man, I was exhausted. I would sit down at the computer and think to myself… nap, or blog? nap or blog? Nap won every time.
Fast forward to now, and I have a happy, healthy little boy named Tanner. He was born on May 7th, 2012.
Now I have a ton of stuff to blog about. Stay tuned for all the birth details, some pregnancy stories, and my life as a new mother. Trust me, the writer’s block is a thing of the past.
