Tonight the family sat down to play a board game. We decided on something that looked interesting.
It was called Robin Hood and it looked like it was made in about 1972. In reality, it was published in 1990,
The board looked like this:
Now maybe my family just isn’t that smart, but it confused the hell out of us. You had to push card through the plastic castle thing instead of using a dice or spinner, and you had to go through crazy, confusing duals with the sheriff. And let me tell you, you don’t wanna mess with this sheriff.
When the sheriff ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy.
This is Chris’s reaction to this game. Now let’s see everyone else’s reaction:
Me: Not impressed that I’m losing.
Kaycee: Bored and a little confused.
Mom and Kirk: Both having a great ol’ time. I think they must’ve been drinking.
Moral of the story: Don’t play the 1972 (1990) version of Robin Hood unless you’ve been drinking or you easily get excited when you win. So excited in fact, the the fake money in your hands actually starts to glow causing you to turn manic.
But really friends, game night is always a good time. I love spending time with my family.
