Pool Time With Tanner

It has been really hot here the past few weeks. Maybe not as hot as some other parts of the country, but still pretty hot.  What’s better on a hot day than swimming in a pool? Not much.

Tanner was super excited about his first day in the water.  I was super excited about how cute this cloth swimming diaper is.

Here’s the first time his little feet were dipped in the water.

In case you were wondering… we were swimming in Elizabeth’s pool.  It was a present from her dad.

We had to get a family picture.

I had a baby shower way back when…

So, yeah. Remember how I said I was going blog a little bit about my pregnancy? Well, one of my big days was the day of my baby shower.  It was way back in March.  On March 17th to be exact at my friend Melissa’s house.  My friend Courtney was the one who actually hosted the party.  That was pretty fun because we were both pregnant, but she was REALLY pregnant.  Like, about to pop out a baby any day pregnant.

The shower was an owl theme.  We had some cute owl decorations, and Courtney made a cake, some cupcakes and some other goodies.

I also made some cute party favors that I saw on Pinterest

We had a good time visiting, playing games, and of course I opened some presents.  I could not believe how generous everyone was.

We also had a decorating station where people decorated onesies and quilt squares.

Here are the finished quilt squares:

My friend Bonnie is going to sew them together for me.  I’ll make sure to show you when it is done.

As I said before, we also decorated onesies.  I recently dressed Tanner in all of them and took pictures.  I love them so much! They turned out so cute.

It was really a fun day, and I’m so lucky to have such wonderful friends and family.

First Stroller Ride

We finally had beautiful weather here in Idaho.  I know that a lot of the country is experiencing crazy hot weather, but all we’ve had around here is rain, rain, and more rain.  I think we’ve had about four days of sunshine. Needless to say, Tanner and I have not been outside very much since he’s been born.

A friend of mine recently gave me a stroller, so Tanner, Chris and I decided to take it for a spin.  We didn’t go far… just down the street to the local coffee stand, but it was enough time to get outside and enjoy some fleeting Idaho sunshine.

Tanner loved his stroller ride and his time outside in the front lawn.  Next time we’ll go out a little longer.

Is that a toy?

Monday was an exciting day for me because it was the first day that Tanner actually noticed his toys and attempted to play with them.  It’s the little things in life that get me excited I guess.

He loves that moose!

This bouncy chair is one of his favorite places to be.  Especially now that he pays attention to the toys.

All that playing will just wear a kid out. Nap time.
